About Lorena

Lorena is an Italian-born creative professional with a lifelong passion for communication, storytelling, and human connection.

She works internationally as an Italian language coach, conversation instructor, dialect and accent coach, translator, voice talent, and cultural consultant, helping students, actors, and professionals speak Italian with confidence, authenticity, and ease.

Born and raised between Rome and Florence, Lorena received formal acting training in Italy and began her career in theater and film before transitioning into television,  as a content creator, producer, and host. Her professional path later took her to New York City, where she collaborated with multilingual media organizations and developed Italian-language content for international audiences.

Over the years, Lorena has worked with actors and individuals seeking to communicate more naturally and confidently in Italian — wether for acting, professional contexts, or everyday life.

Her work focuses on helping clients to:

• improve spoken Italian

• develop natural pronunciation and intonation

• feel confident speaking Italian for travel, work, or personal enrichment

Her teaching style goes far beyond textbooks and grammar drills.

Lessons are conversation-based and immersive, blending real-world Italian, contemporary culture, food, travel, and lifestyle. The goal is not just to learn Italian—but to live it, speak it naturally, through real life use and cultural context.

After two decades working in international communications—including an affiliation with the United Nations and later the Consulate General of Italy in Chicago—Lorena founded Italia Wander: a space dedicated to sharing the Italian language and culture in an authentic, thoughtful, and personal way.
